The current information on the aid provided by the Riga municipality and the services offered to refugees from Ukraine can be received via the free phone +37180000800. The answers are provided in Latvian, English and Russian languages.
Riga Support Centre for Ukrainian residents is located on Pales Street 9. The center opened from Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 18.00. It is possible to apply for a visa at the centre, to find a home if necessary, as well as to receive advice on job opportunities.
Social benefits can also be applied for in the centre and social support for people staying in Riga is provided. It is also possible to register children for training in Riga schools and nursery schools. Visitors to the centre may receive a travel ticket in Riga public transport and a SIM card of Latvian mobile phone operators.
The “I want to help refugees” movement, along with other nongovernmental organisations and active residents of Latvia, is currently helping to coordinate support and assistance to Ukrainian people who might come to Latvia.
