To ensure that pupils will be able to use Riga public transport with a 100% discount in the next school year, parents of pupils in grades 1, 5 and 10, as well as parents of pupils changing schools, are invited to apply for a Pupil’s e-card for their children at www.eriga.lv. If you apply for a Pupil’s e-card by 25 August, you will be able to receive it at the educational institution till the end of September.
When filling in the application form for the Pupil’s e-card on www.eriga.lv, the details of the pupil and the school they are attending will be selected automatically. Only a photograph of the pupil needs to be attached to the application. Based on the application received, Rīgas satiksme will deliver the created Pupil e-cards to the respective schools.
The Pupil’s e-card is a certificate for pupils in Riga, which provides free travel on Rīgas satiksme public transport. All pupils starting 1st grade are required to have the e-card. It must be replaced when starting 5th and 10th grade. A new Pupil’s e-card must be obtained for pupils who change educational institution or whose personal data change.
