On 17 and 18 August, residents and visitors of the city will be able to take buses, trolleybuses and trams for free, and additional transport services will be organised. Also, use of parking lots managed by Rīgas satiksme will be free of charge.

Public transport

On 17 and 18 August, Rīgas satiksme buses, trolleybuses and trams will be free of charge, so passengers do not need to register their e-tickets or code tickets.

During the Riga celebrations, from 17 to 18 August at around 02.00, additional public transport services will be organised from the city centre:

  • on tram routes 1, 5, 7, 11;
  • on trolleybus routes 4, 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22, 27;
  • on bus routes 3, 11, combined routes 12, 23, 26 (over Akmens tilts), 18, 24, 25, 37, 50, 51, 53.

Please note that on Saturday, 17 August, from 18.00, bus routes 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 21, 23, 25, 26, 32, 38, 39, 43, 54, 55 and 63 in the direction to Pārdaugava will stop at the bus stop “Grēcinieku iela”.

Parking lots

On17 and 18 August, Riga City Council’s paid parking lots, managed by Rīgas satiksme, will be free to use, except for the underground parking lot on K. Valdemāra iela 5a near the Congress Centre – parking there is charged according to the current tariffs.

Customer service centres

The customer service centres will be open as usual on Saturday and Sunday – at Stacijas laukums a from 10.00 to 18.00, other customer service centres will be closed.
