This year's Riga Restaurant Week, held from October 28 to November 10, concluded with outstanding success, reinforcing its significance in Latvia's culinary landscape. With a record number of participants – 63 restaurants – and over 19,000 portions sold, this autumn's event became the most successful in history.
The growing number of participants and the high interest from guests confirm the increasing demand and offer during Riga Restaurant Week. The event featured well-established restaurants and new ventures, offering gourmands the chance to enjoy specially crafted menus at attractive prices. This year, menus were available in three price categories – €30, €35, and €40 – providing visitors with options that cater to different budgets and tastes. The creative concept for this autumn's restaurant week was developed with photographer Philip Smith. It was inspired by the idea of a restaurant fashion week and autumn collections, merging gastronomy with art and style. This approach provided a gourmet dining experience and a unique visual treat, highlighting each dish's aesthetic value and the richness of the autumn season’.
Artūrs Arnicāns, head chef at Harper Woolf restaurant in the Pullman Riga Old Town hotel, expressed his satisfaction with participating: "It's always exciting to see people coming to restaurants and discovering new flavours. I am delighted that Live Riga (Riga Investment and Tourism Agency) has found the best communication channels to ensure this week is filled with reservations and that restaurants deliver gastronomic emotions."
The annual Restaurant Week event not only drives higher visitor turnout in restaurants but also provides chefs with the opportunity to express their creativity through unique, seasonally inspired menus. Visitors, in turn, benefit from the special offers, enjoy new flavours, and explore high-level culinary traditions.
"We are thrilled to participate in Riga Restaurant Week, offering guests top-tier service and exciting combinations of dishes, cocktails, and wines. Often, guests wouldn't dare to buy such products in a store, but here, we create an environment where they can discover authentic flavours, boldness, and confidence. Our goal is for every guest to leave with a new experience and a taste of something unprecedented," shares Inese Vīcupa, manager of the WHITEHOUSE restaurant.
Thank you to all participants and visitors who contributed to this exceptional experience and created another successful culinary event! The next Riga Restaurant Week will occur in spring 2025 – from March 31 to April 13.
