From 26 to 29 September, Uļjana Semjonova Cup female basketball competition will take place for the 12th time; competing for victory will be 10 teams, five in the U17 group and five in the U15 group. Teams from Latvia, Estonia, Finland and Sweden will take part in the tournament.
Latvia will be represented by the following teams: BJBC Riga/centre, BJBS Rīdzene, BJBS Riga/Jugla. Estonia will be represented by the Tallinn Sports Academy, Finland - by “TIKS”, and Sweden - by “Alvik Basket”.
Every person interest to see the competition is welcome to the Rīdzene sports hall (97C Krišjāņa Barona Street) and the sports base “Daugavas sporta nams” (107 Krišjāņa Barona Street), where the teams will participate in preliminary rounds from 26 to 28 September, with final games to follow on 29 September.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 26 September at 18:10 at the Daugava Sports House.
Entrance to the basketball cup is free of charge. The event is supported by the Riga local government.
