Restaurant Week is organised by Riga Investment and Tourism Agency and according to its director Fredis Bikovs: "Riga Restaurant Week is much more than just a gourmet celebration; it is an opportunity to highlight and appreciate our city's diverse and dynamic catering industry. As usual, during Restaurant Week, visitors can enjoy 3-course meals at affordable prices and appreciate the chefs' culinary artistry, while also supporting restaurants as the busy season draws to a close. The focus is on local produce and seasonal flavours. In preparation for the autumn Restaurant Week, a special visual design has been created, which can be seen across the city."
Restaurants are particularly active this year, with more than 50 applications received. Raimonds Zommers, the Chef of Entrosol restaurant says: "Food is not just about livelihoods, it involves art, experimentation and human energy to create new and quality flavours. We integrate not only world flavours, but also the products of Latvian producers into our cuisine."
