Kennedy Administration consists of four excellent instrumentalists along with a widely recognized vocalist. The main musical weapons of this band are jazz, funk, R’n’B and a strong musical chemistry, which has been tempered by playing together with big stars of the aforementioned styles. It is not for nothing that Kennedy Administration is also the resident band of the New York jazz cult club Blue Note.
Its debut album Kennedy Administration in 2017 and the record Second Term released last year have received unanimous response from music critics and listeners. However, the real strength of this line-up is precisely the concerts, which have already thrilled jazz-funk lovers in the USA. The Gospel Choir of Riga Cathedral Choir School was founded in 2018 by Una Stade, the head of the Musical Theatre Department. The choir performs Latvian and foreign popular music, as well as gospel music. It has collaborated with popular Latvian artists Jānis Šipkēvics, Marta Grigale, Roberts Memmēns, the pop/rock band Triana Park and others.
The Gospel Choir is a laureate of the Rīga dzied 2022 (Rīga Sings 2022) competition, and also won 1st place and Grand Prix at the Lauluragin pop/jazz competition in Estonia in 2019 and 2023. The song Worth, created by young Latvian composers Patriks Tabaks and Eduards Rediko, was included in the finalists list of the 29th USA Songwriting Competition in the gospel music genre at the end of 2024.
