Social rehabilitation programmes with accommodation services for mothers with mental impairment and their children under 6 years of age including (service, starting not later than by reaching the child's 3 years of age). The service is provided to 4 clients and their children at 24 hours a social care service, including the provision of residence, day-care and supervision, a social work service and a social rehabilitation service, which includes a 3-month initial assessment of the customer's eligibility for the service.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    In order to receive the Service, a person or his or her lawful representative shall submit documents to the Social Service of Riga in accordance with 02.04.2019. Cabinet regulations
    No 138, the procedures for the receipt of social services and social assistance laid down in the Regulations on the Receiving of Social Services and Social Assistance.

    By mail (the application must be signed manually), by signing with a secure electronic signature, or
    also using an e-address.

  2. Pay step
    The costs of the service are covered from the budget of the municipality of Riga, without assessing the personal income and material status.

  3. Receipt of services
    After receiving all the documents, a decision regarding the granting/refusal of social service is taken within 10 working days.
    The social service applicant shall be informed of the decision taken.
