With this flag, Riga must take over the Hanseatic Days organisation - the flag of the Hanseatic League, which is traditionally handed over to the next Hanseatic City as part of the closing ceremony of the International Hanseatic Days.

Together we will see what waypoints Dr. Christoph Bartsch, Mayor of Brillon, together with the Chairman of the Hanseatic League, Jan Lindenau, Mayor of Lübeck, will “hand” the flag of the Hanseatic League to Edvins Balševics, the head of the Riga City Municipality's Interim Administration.

In the virtual receipt of the Hanseatic flag, Edvins Balševics will be supported by the Riga Chamber Choir “Ave Sol” conducted by Andris Veisansis.
